Newcastle Castle Bridgend

Connacht play the Ospreys in Brewery Field on Friday October 26th at 20:05

The game has been switched to Bridgend to avoid a clash with a Swansea City game at the Liberty. Connacht haven't played at Brewery Field since a 40-17 defeat at the hands of a Neil Jenkins inspired Celtic Warriors in February 2004.

When: Friday October 26th, 20:05
Where: Morganstone Brewery Field, Bridgend.

Tickets

Tickets will be available here. It is mostly standing so we will presumably be on a terrace somewhere.

Getting there

Cardiff is the closest airport. FlyBe fly there from Dublin on Thursday night at 21:55. The return flight on Saturday is very early and Sunday flights are expensive. Bristol with Ryanair is also an option. The Knock flight on Friday might be very tight for time but there are early morning flights from Dublin.

You can get SailRail back leaving at 11am Saturday and getting to Rosslare about 16:30. Eurolines will get you all the way from Galway to Swansea for €41 each way, but the times aren't great for the way out.

Accommodation

You may as well stay for a few pints in Bridgend. When else are you likey to be back? Days Inn is cheap at €48 for a twin and the Wyndham Arms closer to town is €66.

If you want to head in to Swansea, the Premier Inn just off Wind St has cheap rates and is right beside the pubs. Cardiff is also an option.

Hospitality

No definitive plan as yet, but we will be in touch with OSC.

Match Day Transport

The ground is right in town near the train station.

Things to see

There is a castle. We suspect Brewery Field is the big attraction.
