I was just told that the RFU did a deal with the WRU to allow welsh pool games to be played at the millennium in exchange for their vote in the England bid... will the host team be playing away so??

I seem to remember that its very simplified.
Winners of Group A play Runners Up of Group B
Winners of Group B play Runners Up of Group A
Winners of Group C play Runners Up of Group D
Winners of Group D play Runners Up of Group C

That seems simple alright, thanks.
just have to beat the french so to get the argies in qtrs and the chance to have our best world cup ever. not having to play them in paris should help.

I'd just save for Japan personally, RWC2015 just won't be anywhere near as good as RWC2007 (despite results).

I'm sure Wales would have liked the draw to have occurred 6 months ago. They picked the wrong time to go on a losing streak. I guess they can look at Australia one of two ways. Either they'll figure they have the measure of Australia since they have played them so tight recently or the fear may creep in that they'll never get that one score to beat them. England will be trickier still. There's no way that match gets played anywhere but Twickenham. It's over two years away so a lot can change.

Good draw for us I think, France or Australia of the top seeds I'd have been happy with, I know we generally fare poorly against them but it'll be nearly like a home game for us. Too far away to predict too much but you'd hope we'd have a chance of toppling them. Italy will beat us at some stage but we should have their measure 99 times out of 100.
Wales, England and Australia group could come down to bonus points and scoring difference.
Samoa will probably fancy their chances against Scotland when the time comes around.
