If you think that's ok... Fair enough. If not well I ask you this. going from your example McGinty is representing USA what limbo is he in. He has represented a national team that isn't Ireland by being there the required 3 years. He came here on the back of a good world cup so should he now be available to play for Ireland because he 1 played well 2 is from Ireland initially (but he's USA capped already) I don't understand the argument
Heenan is free to play for New Zealand but there is very little chance of that happening because of New Zealand's own rule against picking players from different countries. New Zealand have a similar policy to the IRFU when it comes to players qualified for the national team you play at home or you better be damn impossible to replace (is Sexton)
So if Heenan can play for NZ (who cares if its at U20, he played for NZ) and then he can play for Ireland if he wants after playing a few years within Ireland what is wrong with McGinty playing for the USA and then after a few years playing within Ireland, play for Ireland. Explain the difference because it confuses me. Heenan can become IQ while McGinty can never become IQ. The logic of that I cannot see.

Also AJ MacGinty named for USA, two fly-halves that I wouldn't mind still having on the books
I find it somewhat bothersome that a player can become NIQ and never become IQ even thought he was originally from Ireland while any journeyman can become IQ as they wish. I fundamentally believe that McGinty and the likes have more of a right to declare for their home country. As an example Heenan played U20 for NZ. And now he can play for Ireland. But McGinty, who is Irish, can't play for Ireland. The rules have to change. I think there should be a 3 year exemption where the player can, after playing for an international side where he was not born, can decide to come back home. McGinty is being left out in an unfair limbo where a rule should be set should he wish to come home

Not an ex player but a Connacht interest in tomorrow's Lions match.

With boshoff gone, nikora is IQ and knows the place
SOL is 100 times better than Nikora, would rather we resign him rather than have Nikora back. Nice guy but nowhere near standard we need.

Frank Murphy is one of the referees selected for the JWC 2017
I see Frank was in charge for Cardiff game last night. Didn't see it so don't know how he performed. Good luck to him.
