I don't know what to think of this 'new' tournament. Don't get me wrong, interpros are the best games of the season, but removed from the usual league format and into this weird tournament they feel more like, I dunno, post-season warm downs?

Welp, what a weekend. This was much better than a pro14 semi-final squashed into the end of the year, 100%.

I've always been a huge proponent of this 'new' tournament. Don't forget, interpros are the best games of the season, and when moved into this excellent league tournament format they feel more like, I dunno, a really really important and season defining game and series of games.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be roaring as loud as ever..

I'd like to be positive about the competition but now that the south african teams aren't going to be directly competing it really is just a preseason kick about it threatened to be (imo at least). I suppose it was initially set up with the goal of making some money after a truncated regular season but presumably there won't be any tickets sold so it might actually cost the league and tire players out for next year?
