Heineken Cup Pool 3
Connacht v Saracens
Friday 11th October - Kick Off 20:00

Connacht kick off their 3rd consecutive Heineken Cup with the visit of English side Saracens to the Sportsground on Friday night. By and large Connacht have proven worthy of their place in the Heineken Cup over the past two seasons but a very disappointing start to this season coupled with injuries to key players means Connacht will be up against it even more than usual against one of the pre-tournament favourites.

As a measure of their strength Paddy Power currently rate Saracens as joint 3rd favourites to lift the trophy in Cardiff next May at 7/1. Connacht are nearly the same price just to win Friday's match! In contrast to Connacht, Saracens have hit the ground running in the Aviva Premiership and already sit 6 points clear at the top of the table. Anything other than a comfortable Saracens win would be a surprise.
