Hi guys, was down at the game and went home from the coach station I left my hat behind me in the station and their phones aren't answering until Monday morning, if there was anyone that could give a look for me that's passing by it would be massively appreciated. It was the 2017 green beanie. Cheers.

I knew watching them warm up that the Ospreys weren't interested, and they proved me right by putting in one of the worst performances you'll ever see. They were incredibly soft, barely won a collision all day. For our part, we were aggressive, disciplined, accurate, and reasonably clinical. Thought the momentum might swing when we gave them an easy five points and then had a try of our own disallowed within the space of five minutes, but they kept running one out and getting smashed on the gainline. Our linespeed and tackling was excellent all day. When they conceded the third try around 35 minutes they finally using pull back passes and deception in midfield and made a bit of hay out wide. We always managed to scramble but I was a little concerned at how much ground they made when they passed more than twice in a phase, even when down a man at times.

Our forwards were excellent to a man, hard to pick a standout, McKeon was excellent on his first (?) game back from injury. They really dominated the Ospreys in the contact area and at the breakdown, as well as displaying lovely hands at times. There was a couple of lineout malfunctions but to be fair conditions were difficult. The scrum struggled in the first half but was dominant in the second. Behind the scrum Godwin did well in one of the easiest games he'll ever play. Robb played like a man looking for a contract, very impressive. I paid special attention to Tom Farrell, he's an excellent player. Does all the little things well in addition to the offloads and linebreaks.

All in all a very enjoyable day, even if the second half was a bit of a wet blanket, although I can't stress enough how bad the Ospreys were.

Hugely positive result and performance, one soft try but defended very Well, finally managed to get a bonus point secured, and some fine performances none more than from our makeshift outhalf hope he will recover from the knock he got.

very wet day out there, it wont be a day for flowing rugby so Goodwin will need to have his boots on as it will be a kicking day with it all about terrority and the hard yards, a day for an outhalf to take control and keep Ospreys on the back foot in the rain.
Big day for Connacht

This is true. And now he thinks Carbery might be back for France.

Godwin made his name as a 10 in the Force.

He'll be grand. Nothing fancy needed from him. He can take on a tackle or stick it on the boot.

Fitzgerald picked up a knock last week that flared up yesterday, so is actually out injured, as is Horwitz.

Friend said in the mid week media duties that Horwitz had a knee niggle

They've lost 5 on the bounce, they have one away win all season (Zebre 5 months ago), they've got humped on their last two trips to Ireland, and none of their internationals were released. If we can't beat this lot we're in real trouble.

10 is the only concern. I'm sure we'll have a game plan to take that into account. Hon Connacht.

The article above doesn't say whether Bundee is being retained with Ireland or whether he's working his way through HIA protocols. Hope it's the former! Don't think anyone is surprised that he's itching to play this weekend (either with Ireland or us).

SOB out is a blow.

Gotta keep the faith with a lot of the team from last week, I think. For all of the frustrations, if the error count had been a touch lower, the defense a touch tighter, and kicking accuracy a touch better I think we would've had a result (even if only a BP). I would've taken that before the game.

I think Conor Fitz deserves a start at 10 this weekend. Friend was saying after the game that he know's he'll take a lot away from the loss against Glasgow. He's only 21, that was his first start for us (I think?), obviously still not where he wants to be himself. A good weeks training under his belt and a supportive home crowd could be the difference and provide a boost. We need options at 10.

Started away to Sale I think? I remember seeing him for the first time he made a big line break right at the start of the game and De Klerk got carded for an intentional knock on to stop a certain try from it.

Put McCartney, Roux and Dillane back in the front five with a 10/12/13 axis of Godwin-Daly/Robb/Farrell, ad we should have enough to overpower Ospreys, especially given the Proper Sportsground Weather (TM) predicted. Sale followed by Ospreys away remains the only time we've lost back-to-back games this season so I'd be confident we'll turn them over.

Connacht had a video up yesterday of all the scrum halfs practicing kicking....at that point I'd guessed Jack was out and that we'd see Godman at 10.
Might mean we'll look to run more from 10 kicking goals might be a problem though :(

Bundee and carty not available and Sean out for the season, this is a must win game Saturday, it is now in our own hands, a home game and we just have to win it to have any chance of a top three finish
