Benetton wanted it more and best of luck to them going forward in the comp. Gutted for Bucks, hope it is not too long of a Layoff.
This has been one weird season capped off by or severe lack of consistency!!
Been a long Season for the Lads, they need a break to recoup and get ready for the PRO16 and H-Cup next season
With some luck we'll be able to see them live
Pack got battered and not just at scrums, starting selection was wrong.
Noting could be done about Denis's injury and consequence of only having McAllister fit as loosehead backup, but we could have been far more physical in the maul and loose....
Jarrod is a great guy, but I would have fronted Benetton with physicality at breakdown and had Boyle at Six and Papa at Eight and probably given Prendergast a lash at Seven (he has the wheels for sure). Jarrod isn't there yet since coming back form injury and in a horses for courses pick wouldn't have started for me. The other thing is that starting #BigPapa reduces the risk of a red card, certainly more so than coming off the bench in a game we're losing and being beaten up in and having to make a big game changing impact..
Am I right in thinking that McAllister finishes this season? If so he'll be gutted with his input in the last two games, just not at the races in Props bread and butter area. Fundamentally undermined the set-piece and gave Munster & Benetton an area to target.
Jordan Duggan and Matty Burke will provide backup for Denis next year at Loose head. Duggan in particular looked in great form before injury.
