I typically access this forum from a desktop computer. The odd time I use my (smart)phone, and the full version of the site launches. I'm wondering if we could make the website smart enough to identify a mobile browser, and present a more user friendly version of the site, especially the forum?

PS: I know there has been some great work done on an iPhone app, and work is underway on an android one, but I'm hoping there might be an "out of the box" solution included with the software we use to run the site already. Kunena is it?

I think the later versions of Joomla and Kunena are designed to display better on mobile devices. I meant to look into that before but never got around to it.

Cheers Pinky.

It's not a big deal, but if we can get the functionality for "free" through a version change, then why not!

PS: I know there's no such thing as free when it comes to things like this, because someone has to go to the effort of actually making the change, but you get what I mean.

I go by the principle of whoever asks for it, does it :)
