Hi guys,
Looking for some opinions from those in the know. Myself and my GF are planning to head to one of the away trips to Italy next year.
I just wanted to ask those of you in the know as I have never been to either, which location would make for a better few days trip?
Any suggestions are welcome and apologies if this is not in the right section of the forum.
Thanks

Welcome onboard Boots09
Both Parma and Treviso are brilliant destinations. Been to Parma a few times, Treviso just the once and happy to go back to either. Central accommodation and you can walk everywhere..
Team members have regularly given Parma as one of the favourite places.
Games at good time of year, March and April, so weather should be good for both.
Can't advise which is better as both are well worth a visit..

Thanks a million mahick.
I guess will just see which one suits best and take it from there.
Probably another silly question but which airports would guys normally use for these trips?
Thanks again.

Airports- for Parma- if Dublin Bologna schedule has started, it's the closest. Otherwise Milan, with an easy train journey to Parma.
Treviso- Dublin-Venice. Ryanair's uses Treviso Airport as their Venice airport!! Short trip from Venice airport to Treviso.
Keep an eye on the forum for further info. As games are March and April, it'll prob be after Christmas before stuff goes up..

Hey all, has anyone started looking at either of these trips yet?
I'm in the early stages of looking at flights but some of the times/prices I have found so far are a bit awkward/excessive
Just curious what other people are looking at doing?
Cheers

So 6 of us have booked Ryanair to Treviso. Stay in hotel b&b central location. We are chilling out on Saturday. Heading home Sunday. Will book rugby tickets soon.

Cheers Blowin.
We were thinking of doing the same but the flights are quite expensive now so will just have to keep and eye on them for a bit and see.
If ya don't mind me asking what day are you flying out? The flight on Friday seems to get in too late for the game.

Yes two of us going - building it in to a week's trip to Lake Garda. Never been to Treviso before - what's the story with tickets, location in the ground, etc.?

You buy tickets at the gate. Italy being Italy, females get their tickets cheaper! As for which stand, the Tribuna Ovest (West) Blue/Green sections are 20 Euro, the Arancio (Orange) Centre section is 30 Euro, unreserved seating so you can sit in groups etc. No 9 bus from outside the Celtic Pub will take you to the ground. Can buy tickets for it from the tabac/paper stall beside the pub.
