Kicking Competition

Folks just wanted to give Riain a pat on the back for helping to organise the Halftime Kicking Competition on behalf of the Connacht Clan at the Scarlets game.  ;D

I was the first Kicker so very happy. I hope they keep going with it for other season ticket holders! Prizes were great too!

I have ALWAYS wanted to do that! I used to be the kicker for my team, back when I had more hair and less belly.

I for one, will forgive any missed kick in the Sportsground after watching my majestic effort sail wide.

Might be braver, but bravery doesn't put the ball over the bar. Shocking miss from myself  :'(

As far as I know they were randomly sending texts to season ticket holders. The fist three to respond with a yes got picked! I said yes before I realised that it was actually hard to kick the ball! Kicked for the 1st time on Friday afternoon so there's hope for any other novices! The wind didn't help any (it's probably the only reason mine went over!).

Dammit! Now I'm wondering if a season ticket is worth it even if I only get to one match per year!
