They could play Canada or the US or Japan or Georgia or Samoa or whoever on a Tuesday night in November instead either. If you wanted to make a few quid and not have season tickets unused, allow season ticket holders buy a ticket for a fiver (or one euro for kids) up to a fortnight out, and sell what's not taken up at full price.

In all fairness it cant be that hard to assign a code to each season ticket for a discount of next years ticket. Single use and unless you state otherwise (ie contact the club) it can only be used with your account

It's not the branches fault. They started selling the tickets back around March. How were they to know.

Pretty stupid of them to announce 11 home games though, and then realise they made a mistake.

I think we are making a mountain out of a mole at the end of the day ask yourself would you have payed the same price for 10 home games and the likely answer is yes. It was a time of ambiguity for all stakeholders involved.

If I remember correctly we were marketed on 11 Pro 12 home games and 3 European home games. In that sense we've been falsely advertised to.
I agree with you Sligsup we all more than likely would have paid the same price for the ticket. But that would have meant the increase of the season ticket price as the saving per game would have been reduced.so value for money would have gone down

Sure it'll be grand, they'll give us the home pro 14 semi final as the 11th home game instead

I know I'm kind of missing the point but I'm not too bothered by it, the value may have been slightly diluted but the ST is still good value overall, would be nice to receive some sort of meaningful gesture from the club in response to it but in fairness they can't really be blamed, a pity they jumped the gun yesterday though. Maybe it was just an honest mistake yesterday but it still doesn't look the best...

The ST was advertised as 11 + 3 games, now its 10 + 3 , I recognise that this was effectively outside of Connachts control but to simply come out and say to your loyal supporters who have paid well in advance that you can take it or leave it is very poor and leaves a lot to be desired.
It's not a deal breaker , but it wouldn't have killed them to show a little love to the STH.

Folks, the thread is meant to be about the Pro 14 structure.

It has meandered off to a whine about Season tickets. Can we either open a new thread on STs or stick to topic....such as the thoughts on the bullish comments from the Pro14 leadership about expanding beyond in the future, most notably in US.

If they head to the us they are literally making the same mistakes as S18 did.
