Had a look at the first teams that played in the Aviva Stadium (2010) and who of them made it as an international. Not one from Munster/Connacht. Do people think it was a special crop that year in Ulster/Leinster or that simply not producing them in Munster and Connacht?

Firstly, Ian Sherwin who was Munster academy manager at that time came in for huge critism during and after that game. His attitude was apparently appalling towards the fixture and almost no preparation at all went into the fixture. He also held back a lot of academyplayers and chose iinstead sub academy and club/ schools players for the game. Most of the players with Munster beside their name never played for Munster outside of schoolboy representation. Players of that generation currently on pro contracts at Munster are Duncan Casey, James Cronin, paddy butler, can bohane. In addition Brian Hayes is with aurillac in France and IMO will beback in 2015. Go a year older and you get pom, zebo and Murray.
A lot of the Connacht players are still with the acadamu or playing ail with buccaneers.

Good to know. Wasn't the score something ridiculous like 63-0? Is Sherwin still with Munster Academy?

I bought tickets for this as it was initially put out as a Senior Combined provinces game.

Then they said it would be Combined A/Reserve teams.

Then finally it was to be combibed U-20's.

It was Men v Boys stuff better explained now by Rossie's info.
