The video above is making the rounds calling Wayne Barnes a cheat in the Ireland vs Wales game. Regardless of what you think of him this will have some affect as to how he is perceived by a large part of the Rugby population that wants a reason to hate the guy and an excuse as to why we lost to Wales.

I've seen it doing the rounds alright. I'm not too sure the person who made it is completely au fait with the rules, and to call him a cheat is completely OTT. Barnes did appear to come out of the gates with one strong interpretation of the rules wrt not rolling away, which seemed to disappear in the second half, and a couple of the scrum calls left me baffled, but overall we probably didn't deserve to win the game, and whinging about referees is generally perceived as being a sore loser.

I watched the first minute of it and then stopped, whoever made it has no clue of the laws of rugby, seemingly he thinks that if SOB shouts at the ref it must be a pen :silly:

If someone tracked say Sextons game on sat and pointed out all of his errors and tried to slate him online it wouldnt be accepted, nor should this !

Im getting a bit fed up of the abuse that refs take from the sidelines, usually as in the case of this video from people who havent a scooby doo about the laws but feel that roaring and shouting at the ref is the way to go.

If someone in the stands started picking on a player and shouting abuse at him all through the game would it be tolerated ? I think not.

Have had enough bad days following Ireland to seriously appreciate this. Really thought after the 2007 world cup and following 6 nations that we would be a long time waiting for a championship. 2009 was relief mixed with a fair dollop of luck but to win back to back six nations takes some doing and all involved deserve the plaudits.

From the likes of Paul O'Connell and Sean O'Brien who battled back from long term injuries to the likes of Cian Healy and Luke Fitzgerald who have been through the mill as well. Robbie Henshaw and Jared Payne mightn't be the most glamorous centre partnership but they've been quietly effective. Was particularly delighted for Payne with a try today after getting a bit of flak after last week. Joe Scmidt's roll of honour is looking ever more impressive and today was encouraging for the fact we scored some fine tries and showed a different dimension to our game even against a poor Scottish side.

France will always drive you bananas but the last call to tap and go just took the biscuit. Mile a minute game, far too exciting from my viewpoint. ;) Tough situation for Wales and Ireland today as all they could do was set a target. I feel we left a few out there against Scotland but to win by 30 in such circumstances was superb.

Great day and we move onto the World Cup with confidence. We won't win it but if we deliver there is nothing to stop us putting a real stamp on the tournament for the first time ever.

To be fair to France, they didn't care about who won the title, they just wanted to get another try

I think it's hilarious that RTE were playing Hugh Cahill's ill-timed "Penalty France - Ireland are the Six Nations Champions" gaffe all evening on the news to illustrate our victory. Greatest attempted sporting jinx in history IMO :P

To be fair the only thought on the French minds at that time should have been: we are beaten, we are 5 metres from our own line, we have nothing to gain chasing another try and we risk letting Dylan Hartley get his hands on a 6 nations medal, they should have booted it over the stand! B)
