Dave Kearney probably going to miss most of the 6N after his fall yesterday. Reddan picked up a leg knock so the chances of Marmion making the bench are greatly increased and Heaslip aggravated his shoulder again. No idea how serious.

First I heard of it. Did you ring the branch?

Conor Murray's neck injury is looking more iffy by the day and Reddan looks he might miss the Italy game which means either Boss or Marmion might be the starter. No offence to Boss but I really hope it's Marmion.

It was on the Official Connacht Rugby news page last week...

"Ireland will host three ticketed open training sessions over the course the 6 Nations with the first taking place in the Aviva Stadium on Friday 30th January and further open sessions scheduled for Galway and Belfast"

looking at the schedule i'm guessing either Fri 20th Feb or Fri 6th Mar, in fact since Connacht have a match on the 6th Mar then the 20th Feb looks the most likely date.

Delighted for McKeon, hope he gets a decent run out. I reckon he's our most improved young player so far this season.

Great to see 3 Connacht men in the squad. Hadn't realised that McKeown was in camp.

The fact Eoin has played games at 6 7 & 8 this season must have been a factor in his selection.. Fair play to him

Obviously not your run of the mill "A" game, only three uncapped players in the squad. A good performance might not guarantee you a place in the senior squad but put in a poor one and you're behind the 8 ball not only for the 6 Nations but for the RWC.

Dire game. Kieran Marmion didn't really advance his case but thought Eoin McKeon advanced his claims and Nathan White made a positive impact also. Really was chronic stuff though.

I agree it was a very poor game but don't think Marmion will get too much flak he got no protection at all and Schmidt will be aware of this. Good to see Eoin McKeon doing well when he came on and White did ok too. I think the more senior players tonight may have been trying too hard to prove their cases for next week and we ended up with the shambles we got.

Big disappointment were Leinster players in pivotal positions, Conan and Madigan.

Earls at centre, less said....

Useful minutes for a bunch of players lacking match fitness I suppose...
