Loughney put in a good shift at tight head and was very willing in the loose while doing it, that has to be seen as a bonus as it could allow us play wilko and Loughney at the same time if necessary.

Mcsharry has been nothing short of a revelation.

Griffin has consistently shown that he is intelligent and can create even in the tight spaces.

Gannon has been super and is making it really hard to drop him.

Duffy is playing the rugby of his career.

O halloran has pace to burn and a great eye for the break.

Reynecke and flavin are both excellent at lineout time

George can do a job at 8 and offers extra option at lineout.

Crowds are up, atmosphere is good.


Time for Eric and co to look at the positives and identify the weaknesses.3, 6 and 7 are our trouble spots. Mulldoon despite a rampaging 20 minutes doesn't get off the hook for his previous couple of games, we need him at his best especially in the abscence of Joc and Browne.

I wouldt be afraid to try Mckeown and grace.

Overall this squad is better than the results, identify a game plan, and execute it well and we will get the scores.

Eric, please please please dispense with the tactic of kicking the ball back to the opposition. Put it into touch where we are very competitive or kick it down the trams and chase it.
