Season ticket renewals open, in case anyone missed the email.
I always maintain that the Connacht Season Ticket is great value, but somehow the marketing department always contrive to make me feel like I'm being fecked over. It's a unique skill they have.
€5 processing fee. This is presumably for the membership card I don't get ...
Like if they just said it was €290 I'd say it was fair enough.

Apparently the season ticket will be offered via an even more convoluted process than last season.

I assume we are all getting a free phone (since there is nothing in the FAQ to tell you what to do if you don't have a compatible device).

Yet again, filled with confidence at anything to do with Connacht & technology.
"Add the app to your home screen" - what app? It's just a website as far as I can see!
And because it is a website - if your mobile data isn't working for any reason when you get to the gate, you won't be able to get at your season ticket through it.
First thing I will be doing is printing a screenshot. Digital be damned.
I think a lot of us will be doing a lot of tech support for a while.

I'm a bit baffled by the whole thing.
It gives you instructions on how to "share" a ticket but says you can't share your season ticket or it will be cancelled.
What other type of ticket could I share?
At the end of the day it's a QR code so it shouldn't make a blind bit of difference what form it takes
Out of curiosity I checked the other provinces season ticket offerings. They are all with ticketmaster and they just give you the QR code with the option of having it on your phone or printing it, simples. The cards unfortunately seem to have gone out of fashion everywhere, which is a pity as they were damn handy to just stick in the wallet and I'd say a lot of people collected them.
They also actively encourage sharing your season ticket if you can't go, which makes sense as it increases the value of the season ticket, Connacht seem to be the only team jumping through hoops to ensure your spot remains unused.

I emailed them and they sent me out a PDF version, same as last year's one. That will be so much easier.
I remain hugely confused as to what they are trying to achieve (possibly huge confusion, in which case it's been a resounding success).

I had issues with my E Season ticket getting into Dubarry Park , my phone isn’t d greatest but I’m pretty sure the ticket scanner’s aren’t the best. I might print my season ticket just to be sure.

Talk to Pinky, I think he has it sussed out!! He's in the same situation (but probably worse knowing his not so "tech" phone

I just checked the “app” to see if the ticket QR code is there, but now there is nothing there, just a blank screen.
