We seem to have reversed the numbers from a few years ago, it's now 2 NIQ and 5 projects. Pretty impressive when you think about it

Everything Connacht are doing at the moment is pretty impressive when you think about it. Everybody just seems to be singing from the same hymn sheet.

While, not the same lifestyle, bonds between Ireland and France are reasonably strong. I wonder are there any potential French players, either on the way up or on the way down that could play a role in Connacht, especially in the forwards?

You're right: each July, LNR and the players union, Provale, publishes a list of non-contracted players, often with a decent pedigree, which gets longer each season often for the reasons you highlight. There's always a few quality players in the mix who end up playing Federale One for want of a contract. Munster picked up Julian Brugnaut a few years ago.

Perhaps we could give it a quick glance next summer... Unemployed players

I love for us to get a medical joker in to cover Heenan for a few months or even until some of the academy guys come back from injury. Ce le vie

Don't know about that connachta.
After all Ronaldson used to do that regularly for the same club.

Strange how he is not playing for a Connacht AIL club. Not a fan of Connacht Academy players going to Dublin to play club rugby.

They have picked a pro12 team of the first 4 rounds over on Wales online. They have picked Denis Buckley at loose head . I don't know what his contract status is but people are starting to recognise his ability. It might be wise to tie him down to a decent 3 yr deal.

In todays Indo Pat Lam says that home Zebre match on November 21 is target date for debuts for Mils, Bundee and Freak. Bundee due to arrive late October and Tom in early November.

Surely they should be looking to stagger their debuts a little, if only for commercial reasons. If Mils' name is on the teamsheet, I'm sure it'll create a surge of ticket purchases, same with Bundee.
