Have you a link? Do you know is it a short term contract or is there an option for longer? He's a good player and he did well last year with Sale if I remember. Glad to have him ;D

Irish Times article, towards the end
Connacht have signed former Leinster centre Kyle Tonetti on a short-term loan to help ease their midfield injury woes. Tonetti, who is one of five centres in Sale, is unlikely to feature in Connachts Heineken Cup debut against Harlequins on Friday.

Examiner say we've signed him til the end of the season. Hope thats the case
Sale signed Tuitupou, Burrell, Lavea and Leotoa who are all centres so he looks surplus to requiremnts

I think it's a good signing. He can play a few position at once and I for one was sickened when he didn't come to us a few years ago. This is only a positive!

If I'm reember correctly he's primarily a 12 but can play 10 or 13 too? Great signing, but can he be added to the HC squad at this late stage?

Yes 10 or both centre positions, primarily centre though
Article said he won't feature this weekend, but yes he can be added to the Heineken squad as all teams are permitted 1 wild card or medical joker as they call it in France

This gives us a lot more flexibility and options in the backs now, the problem is we still haven't settled on our best 9-15.

It's a positive bit of news alright, we've a small squad in terms of quality. Couple of injuries here or there really cripple us...

Oh how the mighty have fallen!
Chose Sale over us last year, which was gutting. I'm quite happy to get him for the season.

Not sure what your point is. He got 11 starts (9 at number 12, 2 at 13) and 5 sub appearances for Sale in Premiership and Amlin Cup last year. He'd have done well to get any more than that here.
Anyone know what, if anything, this means as regards Keith Matthews comeback from injury?

My point was he chose Sale over us.
All lighthearted, though. Like I said, I'm glad to see him sign. A Tonetti/Griffen midfield would be quite exciting.

If I remember correctly Tonettit is in the second year of a two year contract. If this goes well for him and us it could result in a permanent signing. Would be good to see.
