I cant believe it! so we are season ticket holders for three years,( just beginners compared to a lot of you i know,) we have stood in the clan terrace for every home game bar one and roared our heads off in the cold and the rain and loved every minute of it.We clapped every player hanging on to see everyone leave the pitch, we never left early, came in late carrying pints, we were there for the rugby and we lived it all, it has been wonderful!!. We huddled around the radio listening to heart attack inducing commentary or watched stuttering internet footage for away games, just like loads of you guys out there. And now at the end of the season when the season reaches its unbelievable peak we cant get tickets to stand where we always do!! It just beggars belief, how does this happen?? i cannot express how disappointed and angry i am, how has our season ticket space been sold?? the amazing thing about connacht is the team, the fans, the spirit, the atmosphere, and feeling part of it, and this is how it ends, Absolutely devastated.

I totally agree with pinky on this.

my only fear on reading all this is that the clan will be full of Glasgow fans! Those of us lucky enough need to be in early and stake our spots.

There will be plenty of Glasgow fans thre. It's where Warriors are recommending we buy for.

Sorry Guys. Not good enough. Simply not good enough.

I have a season Ticket , for the Clan Stand, since 2010.

So now, some last minute freeloader effectively has my place on the terrace.

Is that anyway to treat your regular customers? No it isn't. That's Amateurish.

And I simply don't buy the "it's all Tickets.ie fault" bit. It can't have been beyond Connacht Rugby's ability to secure a first come first serve - 1 ticket for every existing season ticket holder, for the game. Or, failing that, a lottery of some sort where the existing holders at least get an honest chance to get their hands on one.

I detect a certain arrogance here, on Connacht Rugby's part, probably based on the extremely good sales for next year. Well, lets all hope that next year goes as well as this year. Because, if it doesn't, all those fair weather supporters will be gone quicker than 'Robbie to Leinster' and all that will be left are those of us who still have the memory of being treated so shabbily.

Badly, badly let down.

Did you get no tickets at all or none for main stand?

Myself and my other half didn't get Clan either but got main stand.

I'll repost this every page if I have to but...

Just remember that this is a Pro 12 gig and Connacht are hosting it. so all the terms and conditions were set by the Pro 12 and not Connacht

I am usually first to put the boot into Connacht set up at times but this is/was a Tickets.ie and Pro 12 issue

Its a PRO 12 directive as to how the tickets are allocated and why people will be out of the Clan and why there is a buy one extra with your season ticket. Its also a PRO 12 directive that 25% of all space is used for travelling fans. There is also tickets kept for general sale so I personally would suggest trying again on Wednesday in the general sale for Clan tickets.

Then tickets.ie have huge questions to answer for their website I know they are Connachts partner of choice but they still have to get it right. (ticketmaster often have issues with people going hell for leather on release days)

Really? This I did not know
I knew the 25% in each area must be available to opposition but wasn't aware that the STH+1 is a Pro12 directive - or maybe I read you wrong?

Agree it is a Tickets.ie mess up with tickets portal being open Sat night and then the website being down this AM

Same here. I'm a season ticket holder for an age and could not get a ticket for the Clan despite being online early today. It is a shambles. Tickets.ie should lose their contract with CR or the Pro12 (whoever owns selecting them) over this. What irks me even more is the risk that the atmosphere in the Clan will be diluted because many of us STHs won't be there.

In addition to the 25% for the away team the league gets 10% for corporates/sponsors. That's 700 tickets out of 2000 in the Clan gone straight away. The only way every Clan season ticket holder could have been guaranteed a Clan ticket for this game is if the Clan season ticket numbers had been limited to not much over one thousand, a year ago, on the off chance that we had a home semi. It sucks, but it's not the branch's fault.

A lottery for season ticket holders would have been a fair method of distribution, but given today's clusterf**k clearly well beyond the abilities of tickets.ie to organise.

Hopefully there will be some returns from Glasgow and corporates

What a mess. Really pee'd off that I could not get a Clan ticket despite being a STH for years. Tickets.ie should be terminated. Clan will be full of scots/other occasional supporters.

Yeah as far as I'm aware it is all rules from the PRO 12

The decision to offer 2 tickets per STH would have been Connacht's. Pro12 wouldn't care either way about that kind of thing.

I have it under good authority that 16/17 season ticket members are able to buy tickets. There'll be none left for general sale.

I've heard some evidence to support this too, it sounds like even if you didn't have a season ticket this year but had bought one for next season you were able to buy tickets, which is obviously not right. Tickets.ie have a lot to answer for.
